Supporting Anti-bullying week 2011 'Stop and think - words can hurt'
Hello! My name is Anita, welcome to my website. In 2009 my children's novel Matty-boy & The Secret Pigeon Racket was published, with the aim of encouraging children to tell a trusted adult if they are affected by bullying - Buy The Book
Matty-boy & The secret Pigeon Racket Reviews "Fantastic read. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Beautifully illustrated and well written. I highly recommend this book that deals with bullying and its affects to everyone!"
Is someone close to you being bullied? As someone who has experienced bullying, I am passionate about finding ways to talk about this difficult subject; to help those affected, find the help they need. I found it very hard to talk about being bullied when I was at school, because of this I suffered in silence for many years. It is common to feel all alone when you are being bullied, that no one understands, and that you don't know where to turn for help. Matt, the main character of 'Matty-boy and the Secret Pigeon Racket', gains the unwelcome attention of the school bully, but doesn't know who he can trust to tell about it.
If you read the story, you will be able to see how Matt copes with the bullying and what he decides to do.
What can you can expect from the story: 'Ever wished you could be a rock star? Have you ever noticed a pigeon spying on you? No? Well take a closer look, you may be surprised!' Like Matt, are you finding it hard to tell someone that you are being bullied? Every book sold through our website will have £1.00 donated to the work of Bullying UK © Anita Hunt |
